LandCertPrep publishes practical exam prep for Green Industry professionals. This page explains who writes our content, how we source facts, and what we will and won’t claim.
Who writes this
All LandCertPrep study guides, practice questions, blog posts, and free resources are written and reviewed by John Denson, PLA, a licensed landscape architect in Arizona and the founder of LandCertPrep. Field examples come from his own practice and from colleagues’ stories shared with permission. We do not publish anonymous “exam dumps,” scraped questions, or material from candidates who sat the exam.
John reviews every published page, post, and practice item before it goes live, and he remains responsible for the final content.
How we source facts
Exam structure, fees, administration windows, eligibility rules, and subdomain weights come from official sources:
- CLARB (Candidate Handbook, fee pages, registration notices)
- State landscape architecture boards and, where relevant, LATC, CSLB, and other licensing bodies
- Adopted codes and standards named in the official outlines
When we cite a time-sensitive fact, we link the source and note when we checked it. If an official page conflicts with something we published earlier, the official page wins — and we update our copy.
Quarterly review of time-sensitive facts
Fees, exam dates, section names and weights, delivery options, and similar details change. We check those items at least once a quarter against the current official sources and update pages that are out of date. Reviewed pages show a Last reviewed date near the top or in the footer of the article. Between quarterly checks, we also update when CLARB or a board announces a material change.
Original practice questions only
Every practice question LandCertPrep publishes is original. We write items to match the skills and subdomain weights in the current official blueprint. We do not use, request, or reproduce CLARB exam content, and we do not collect or share real exam questions from candidates. Using actual exam material can put a candidate’s license at risk. Our sample items are study tools, not the exam.
Independence
LandCertPrep is an independent publisher and a FranciscanLandscape LLC company. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by CLARB, LATC, CSLB, ISA, the Irrigation Association, state pesticide regulators, or any licensing or certifying body. Product names and exam titles appear only to identify the exams candidates are preparing for. Always confirm current requirements with the official source before you register or rely on a rule.
Corrections
If you find an error — a wrong fee, a dated window, a broken link, or a mistake in a practice explanation — email john@landcertprep.com. We fix confirmed errors promptly. For material factual corrections on a published page, we note the change (what was wrong and when it was corrected) so readers can see what changed.
What this policy covers
This policy applies to landcertprep.com, our free LARE Study Plan & Readiness Checklist, blog posts, FAQ pages, and LandCertPrep study guides and courses. Sister companies under FranciscanLandscape LLC (including Verdant Green Media) publish under their own names and are not covered here unless a page says otherwise.
